Sam Baker and hhi wi'e of Checotah attended a Btomp^aance near Bond's Switch Tuesday night. A shooting af-plafce while Baker and his wife wre sitting in^their buggy. Baker and his wife were both shot in the arm. After he was shot in the left arm Baker fired a couple of shots in the direction of his assailant. The identity of the bad man has not yet been fixed. The',shooting was from the brush.
