Late Chief t l»-rk of the Indiana Leglala-tnre Charged With Embezzlement.Indianapolis, Juno 21. — Benjamin Prather, late chief clerk of the Indianahouse of representatives, is under arreston an indictment charging him \vi ' embezzlement. The charge is made bythe Commercial Travellers’ Mutual Accident Association of Indiana. Pratherwas formerlv secretary of this concern. It alleges that he failed to properly account for about $3,500 that came intohis hands.Prather asserts that there is nothin e in the case that he cannot successfully refute and that he can show oftet- for traveling expenses that will wipe out the claim against him. The court tixed his bond at $5,000.
