* — • ■ .. j - PRECIOUS BAUBLES.Young Lady Music Teacher Locked Up,Charged With Grand Lardeny.Detective Jackson yesterday evening arrested Florence Williams, a pretty young woman who lives at 522 Plum street, and is said to be a music teacher, and locked her up at the Place of Detention on the charge of grand larceny. The arrest was quietly made and created little surprise, except in the mind of the young woman herself.Last Saturday evening a pair of turquoise earrings were stolen from Belle Curry, a dissolute woman. They were valuable, having cost $250, and the disappearance was reported to the police, Detective Jackson being detailed. He had nothing to work upon, no one having been seen to enter the room from which they were stolen. Jackson found that Florence Williams had been in the house for a few moments on the evening of the theft. The result was that he traced the earrings to Toledo, where she had sent them, and afterward got her to acknowledge having taken them. He atonce corresponded with the Toledo authorities, and the earrings are now on their way back to this city, the recipient at Toledo having been forced to surrender them.
