Sutheriin, who has b«Ai in jail since Stay 5 on a charge of killing his wife, Mrs. Geneva L. Sutheriin, last October, w^a granted bis liber* ty under bond on Thursday, the bond being fixed at $5,000 by Judge Utz. The sureties cn the bond are Charles Suther-Un, father of the accused; Prof. Levi H. Scott, superintendent of the county schools; the Rev. Martin Hanger, of Georgetown township; S. F. McBride, Albert White, Maurice Laub, and Frances M Yenowine, of Georgetown township. The bondsmen are well known and leading citizens of the city and bounty.Mr. Sutheriin, after his bond had been filled, departed with bis attorneys. He will reside in the city and may resume his pastoral 'duties in the Christian churches, whose pulpits he had been filling previous to bis arrest. He preached last Sunday at the Park Christian church.During his incarceration in the county jail he has been visited by scores of people. His hours in the day time had been spent in the corridor of the jail in which had been placed a bem:b, couch and rocking chair for his convenience. The iron stairway which leads from the corridor to the women’s department on the second floor had been decorated dur-iog the past few weeks by dozens of fine boquets of flowers which had been brought to him by visitors and there were but few hours in the day when Mr. Sutheriin was not entertaining friends.While the grand jury may return another indictment against Mr. Sutheriin, yet is is the opinion of many hundreds pf people in this vicinity that he will hate no difficulty in deariftg himself of til Marne for the death of bis wife. Thua far he has been given his liberty without even having to plead to the Indictment. Many people believe that the bottom Is out of the prosecution. The -case is now dosed until further action by the grand jury.
