For Suicide VictimFuneral services for Guy W. Stevens. 26, of 1538 Jewett drive, •who shot and killed himself Saturday evening at his home, will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at Keck funeral home. Putnam avenue, with Rev. J. H. Kinney, retired Trinity Methodist pastor, officiating. Burial will be inGreenwood.Following an investigation. Coroner Ray McDaniel returned a verdict of suicide.The coroner said his investigation revealed thaL Stevens had anticipated taking his life earlier Saturday and had confided his plans to Chet England, of South Zanesville. a friend. In company with England. Stevens went to the home of Rev. Kinney where he explained his intentions and asked to be bap-The minister said he believed the man was under the influence of drugs or liquor, and did not seriously consider his threats.After the visit'to Rev. Kinney s residence. Stevens returned to his own home, where he telephoned the Harvey Scott residence at South Zanesville, asking that his suicide plans be made known to his father, Andrew J. Stevens,who resides nearby.Earlier the same evening, police were informed, Stevens entered a Putnam beer parlor and told an employe. Ed Morrison, of his plans.
