ta!yntgre.,celich*si-hisRites held for Mrs. Velma WalleykFuneral services were held Sua-day afternoon at Pine Grove for Mrs. Velma Walley, 38, of Rt 3, (th Waynesboro, who died last Fri-its day afternoon after falling under :ar the wheels of a panel truck driven by her 56-year-old husband,......Wayne County Sheriff HardyLee Leggett, who investigated the incident, said it happened on a country road about six miles south of Clara.Sheriff Leggett said a coroner’s jury investigated the matter thoroughly and returned a verdict of accidental death. Questioned were Fate Walley, the husband, and James Walley, his 17-year-old son.Both said that during an argument between the man and his wife she said: “If you don’t stop this truck and let me off I’m going to jump out.”Moments later she either fell Or jumped from the vehicle and the rear wheels passed over her body.
