Quarles, 49, of 300 block Edwards sk, was arrested at his home at It p.m. after police were notified by Chester Hospital authorities of the death of Metro Seniw, 75. of 2716 W. 4th sk, a haif hour earlier from head and bodyinjuries.Senlw had been struck by a truck driven by Quarles, police said, as the vehicle swung oft Highland avenue into 3rd street. The truck, police said, is owned by Henry Berger, who conducts a plumbing supply business at 306 Edgmont av. Quarles was lined $10 for driving without a license by Magistrate R. Robinson Lowry, who also set the bail in holding Quarles for the coroner's jury and a further hearing.
