MICHAEL BURKE TO STATE HOSPITALBy The Associated Press.ST. JOSEPH, Mo., June 16—Michael Burke, 16, last week acquitted of murder by reason of insanity, today was committed to state hospital No. 2 in St. Joseph by Judge Sam Wilcox.Frank Kirtley, prosecuting attorney, issued a hold order to be delivered to Dr. George A. Johns, superintendent of the hospital, preventing release of Burke if he is declared sane by authorities.Under the order, Burke would be returned to the Buchanan county jail to await trial on a second murder charge in connection with the slaying of John Brown, former constable.His first trial was for the slaying of John Fisher, Armour and I Company efficiency expert, shot to j death in a hold up.
