Patrolman yv.. P. Matthiesen .pleked up the ear Saturday, finding St in the possession of Cecil Hendricks, 310 Oakland avenue, who said he had traded a Ford touring car and some cash to W. H.- Way, used -car dealer, 604 Rhey street, for the coupe/ . :Meanwhile detectives discovered, that '.while the license- number: was ■ the same as that ; of the car - reported stolen, the' engine number was different. Way told of overhearing a telephone call in the county treasurer’s office from Sands',- \ whosaid a mistake had ■ been : madein' ■ putting the license plate issued for a Studebaker he also owned on the Ford,• a - 9’ m •It then developed that Way’s son had bought the coupe from Morris Fish, of the Fish Auto . Wrecking company, 621-831 Sycamore street. Fish, who was got out of bed at 2 a. m, Sunday, said he bought the machine from Bagenstos. ■This afternoon Bagenstos had not' yet been found to add his ray of light,A car, the property of Lloyd Parks, 302 Tenth street west, was recovered by police Sunday. The machine was stolen from a parking place oa the Fifth street bridge.Albert Faley, 330 Almond street, re- ported the theft of his machine, 11- . cense H-12929, from Park avenue Saturday night,Mrs; L. B.
