oTil© Execution.©f the Pottses.Friday’s Elko Independent aaya: The first legal elocution of a woman on the Pacific Const will fake place in Elko one weofcfrom to-day. We do not consider it a- matter which will reflect any credit on Elko county. The result is one to be deplored, and we trust that there may never, be any occasion lor a repetition of shoh a scene. The Sheriff will not permit any persons within the enclosure of the jail yard except those whoso presence will be necessary to aid him in the performance of his unpleasant duty, and persons from the country are advised not to como into town on Eriday, the 20th instant, aa no one will ba permitted to aeo the prisoners on that day, much less to witness the exeontion. All necessary precautions have been* taken to make the event strictly private, in accordance with law, and anyone who expects to get oven a glimpse of the prisoners as they go from tho jail to the place of ©location will.be disappointed. Our advice is; Stay away from Elko on Friday,• Jane 20, 1890.
