d,onised-Inhonit'a-os,Arnold Resident Slabbed In FightHugh Long In Critical Condition; AIM — Franhiim Charged With Assault•*Hugh Long, Arnold resident who was seriously injured in a stabbing last night at Shore Acres, today was reported in a priticftl condition at Emergency Hospital.Anne Arundel county police named Albert Prantum, 2ft, Arnold, as his assailant. Prantum, who was jailed last night, was arraigned this morning and released under $500 bond. He is charged with assault and battery.Police said he attacked Long with a small penknife. They did not know the cause of the attack.Long's attending physician said he sustained a gash about six inches above the left kidney, and either the lung or kidney was injured. The wounded man, weakened by the loss of blood, nearly died last night, but was reported slightly improved today.Long was taken to the hospital by the Eastport fire department's ambulance, which was found to be out of gas on arrival at the scene of the incident. While the patient was being given first-aid, the tank was filled. Firemen said they suspected thieves had siphoned the fuel from the vehicle while it stood in a garage near .the fire house. They said a lock had been bought for the tank today.
