COURT OPENSTUESDAY WITH 35CRIMINAL CASES22 Padlock Actions, 15 Damage Suits on Calendar;ry Law Charges Make Bulk of Cases.Judge Sanborn to Preside; 11 New Cases Added to 24 Already Listed.nch1r©Ahcc- Thirty-five criminal cases, most of them involving alleged violations of the prohibition laws, 22 padlock proceedings against soft drink establishments, farms, residences and hotels and 15 civil damage suits will be up for disposition at the June term ofUnited States district court for the Winona division which will open in the federal building here at 10 a. m. Tuesday, it, was announced today.Judge John B, Sanborn of St. Paul will preside at the term, according to Clerk of Court J. M. Dickey, who announced the cases scheduled for disposition. Twenty-four criminal cases are on the regular calendar and Information against 11 others will be filed by Assistant United States District Attorney Robert V. Rensch when court opens tomorrow, he told The Republican-Herald over long distance telephone from St. Paul this morning.Of the civil suits, seven are against railroads as the result of accidents,' one is a receivership matter, one is a motion in a railroad damage action and three are suits in which no action has been taken within one year and will most likely be dismissed.Cases against Joseph'Cittadtno and Edward Davis on a charge of passing a counterfeit ten dollar bill at - Lake City last February are on the calendar as the result of indictments byi a United States grand jury. Both men, however, are serving terms following their conviction on, similar charges under another indictment and.Mr. Rensch said it was probable that their cases here would be continued. Cittadino is a former resident her?, at Minnesota City and* at Bluff Siding and was affiliated when hete with the operation of tfoad-houses. The bogus bill*was passed on'Jack Schilling and Henry Ritclien, owners of the-garage, the indictment showed. Pictures of the bill were attached to the indictment.Criminal cases already on the calendar, not including the 11 new ones to be fllod, are as follows:William Mauer, charged with Violating postal laws; Albert Cole, Albert Wanouk, Joseph Fine, Pat Cog-gens, Frank Sturman, alias Star-nian, John Sclitsky alias Kalicky, Joe Slmes and Dave Roach, possession and'manufacture of liquor and .maintaining a public nuisance; Joseph Kunda, Winona, interfering with a federal officer making an arrest; Clarence Jeresek, possession of 11-j quo#* sale of liquor and maintaining a nuisance fFrank Parcowitz, sale and nuisance; Jacob H. Schock, ©ale and irangportation; Laura and Stanley Cyert, nuisance; Glenn Brown, George Kabat, Sedor Westnbss, George Lamey and William Pflffer, violating wild life and fish refuge act; Vincent and Mary Kukowski, nuisance;.
