Loudon Spectator.Family History of tlie Wppwpch.Mr. Weewee, who was descended from an old and honored family, was compiling a history of the Weewes, and, being a man of some leisure, ho spent a considerable portion of his time in writing to every Weewee, far ind near, whose address lie could ascertain, his purpose being to gather ill the information possible concerning the collateral branches of the fatu-ily'This explains his action in writing (he following letter one day to Mr.Jasper Weewee, Tucson, Ariz. :“Dear Sir: Having accidentally seen vour name In a paper published in' Tucson, 1 take the liberty of addressing you. I am compiling the records of the family whose name we hear, iutending to embody them in a good-sized hook, and shall he greatly obliged if you will kindly acquaint me with whatever particulars are in your possession relative to your ancestors* as far hack as your knowledge extends, with dates of marriages, deaths, migrations, removals, prominent events in their history, etc. By so doing you will confer a great favor, which I shall le glad to reciprocate by any means In my power. Trusting to hear from you soon. I am, yours truly.“Hokace Booeks Webwee,”In about two weeks he receivedjthis brief answer:Dear Sir: I regret that it will he impossible for your illustrious relative, Mr. Jasper Weewee, to comply with your request and give you any of his family history.
