Deputy County Jailer Bill Ow-ings said Messamore cut his way out of the “bull pen” Monday night and escaped early yesterday after slugging him and his son, Bobby Owings, 17.Last March, Messamore escaped from jail at Corydon, Ind., where he was held in connection with the disappearance of William Vandiver, Mrs. Vandiver and her daughter. The Vandivers disappeared while living at the Messamore farm near English, Ind. No trace of the trio has been reported.
