The Caldwell officers, informed that Messamore might be on the Illinois Central freight train which left Paducah early today, stopped the train and saw Messamore crouching in the car behind the engine. Princeton isabout 60 miles northeast of Paducah in western Kentucky.This was his second spectacular jail escape in recent months. He is one of three men under indictment here on a charge of robbing the Kevil. Ky., bank of $10,000 last’ August and was scheduled to go on trial Monday.Agents of the Federal Bureauof Investigation joined city,county and state police in the search. One report said Messamore had been seen rowing across the Ohio River in a sm?,llboat.
