SHE FATALLY SHOOTS MANEmma Heathcote and John Kimes Quarrel at Des Moines.Des Moines, June 15.—Mrs. Emma Heathcote, twenty-two years old, shot pud fatally wounded John Kimes, fifty-two years old, at the Kimes home. Mrs. Heathcote, who is the wife of a miner, living near Valley Junction, claims she shot Kimes, who is a sign painter, in self defense, Kimes is dying at the Methodist hospital and, having been unconscious since the shooting, the police have been unable to get a statement from him.Lena German, a white woman, and A1 Madigan, a negro, are held for : examination. All had evidently been drinking.
