Baldwin, as sistant superintendent of Algoa, i said guards, assisted by a dog team, apprehended Roney two miles from the reformatory about 10:50 a.m.Roney, who was on probation after being convicted of stealing a car belonging to Willard O’Neal of Bogard in I960, was sentenced to j a 3-year term and his probation revoked after he was arrested for the theft of a car owned by Leon- i ard Nibarger of Chillicothe in April, jRoney and another teenager took the O’Neal car from its parking place in Chillicothe and were halted near Excelsior Springs following a running gun fight with the highwaypatrol.Judge James W. Davis imposed sentence after a hearing following Honey’s arrest by Sheriff Kelsie Reeter and Police Chief Wilbur Pfaff for the theft of the Nibarger car.
