Several men held Bill m wMle the rope was fastened to a limb and as soon as it was tied, Bill was dropped and left hanging. Ike looked on defiantly, without flinching, while another man climbed a tree close bv Ike was in a like manner held up the rope tied and Ike dropped. Both ’were strangled to death in twenty minutes. It was just before midnight when they were finally hung. Their bodies were cut down by the coroner at eleven o dock this morning. The bodies were placed in rude coffins, just as they had gone for a week, without coats, boots or hats, and will be delivered to their sister, living in the easi era part of the country, Immens crowds visited the scene during morning. An inquest will he held.
