Myrick woman reported missingBY SUZANNE MONKNews editorMYRICK — The JonesCounty Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a woman missing from the Myrick Community for more than a week.Dorothy “Dot” Lorene Ainsworth is 19 years old. She stands 5’2” and weighs 125-135 lbs. She has green eyes and very short hair, recently dyed jet black.“She also has two tattoos. There’s one of a cross on her left hand, between her thumb and index finger,” mother Dorothy Seay ofEllisville said.“She has another of a heart high up on her leftarm.”Ainsworth was reportedlylast seen at the Midway Amoco Station in Waynesboro, at about 3 p.m. on June 3.AinsworthA friend who has been interviewed by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department said she got into a blue pick-up truck with Jones County license plates. She has not been seen since.“Supposedly, there were three people in the truck — two boys and a girl. The girl was driving, and her name was ‘Beth or‘Becky,’ or something like that,” Seay said this morning- , . ;“No one at the service station remembers seeing her.
