A status date has been set for July 21, he said.Earlier this year, the defense requested the release of all virtually all prosecution documents, including the witness list.In April, Polales said he would not “lay out a trial brief” for the defense team.Tezak, one-time Republican powerbroker in Will County, has been „ charged in two separate arson cases dating back to 1987, one involving the Galaxy Bowl in Crest Hill andthe second related to the high-profile blaze that destroyed the Will County Private Industry headquarters on North Chicago Street in Joliet.Tezak has been charged with one count of conspiracy and one count of arson in each blaze, a total of four counts.To date, he has not appeared in court but has posted a $100,000 cash bond and entered not guilty pleas on all counts through his attorney, George Lombardi.Two other men charged in the Galaxy Bowl case have pleaded guilty.Stephen Kezerle, indicted last year with Tezak in the PIC blaze, currently is serving time on unrelated state charges. Although court sources indicated that Kezerle is expected to plead guilty in the PIC case, as of this week he had not done so, those sources said.In April, Anderson set a tentative trial date of Sept. 7 for the Tezak case.
