STINNETT. Texas lt;AP -Capital murder charges havebeen filed against two escapeesfrom the Hutchison County Jail after a Texas Hanger, a district attorney’s investigator and a county commissioner arrested the pair without incident.Sheriff Lon Blackmon said Tuesday jailer Jack Thompson was shot to death, apparently with his own .357 revolver, during the breakout Monday night.The jailbreakers were identified as George Marshall Hall and Michael Clyde Jones Hall had been charged with contempt of court involving child support, while Jones was charged with arson and escape, having broken out of the same jail six weeks ago.Justice of the Peace Nadine Spinks said capital murder and escape charges were filed against the men Tuesday after they were picked up on Texas Highway 136 on the west side of Borger.Blackmon said an Amarillorancher who owned propertynear Borger became alarmedwhen he could not complete atelephone call to the Borger property Learning of the jailbreak, he telephoned officers. County Commissioner Murry Jennings, who knew the location of the ranch, accompanied the arresting officers On their way, they saw Hall and Jones walking along the road and arrestedthem without incident.Officers found a pistol in a trash container behind a BorgerhotelHall and Jones were returned to the Hutchinson County jail, a facility which Blackmon said does not meet guidelines of the Texas Jail Standards Commission. The breakout was the third from the jail in the last nine months.He said Thompson was alone in the jail where he was apparently overpowered and shot to death.
