THE LOCK HAVEN EXPRESSIF EOWMID NESTLEIOBCPerry Boy, Who Did Shooting, Released on Habeas Corpus Proceedings—Re-Arrested*Edward Nestlerode, who was accidentally shot in the head Wednesday of this week by Paris Perry, better known as Frank Perry, continues to grow weaker at the hospital, and his death is regarded as inevitable, in fact, were it not for his robust constitution. he would not have lived this long with a bullet in his brain.The boy Perry, who did the shooting. was released from the county jail this morning by order of the court, following the bringing of habeas corpus proceedings in his behalf by Attorney J. J. Kintner. The court ruled that the bey had not b*en properly arrested, as no warrant was issued.About the same time. James Nestle-rode appeared before Alderman John P. Anthony and made information against the boy, charging him with committing assault and battery and i.nlaw fully, wilfully and Moniously shooting the said Edward Nestlerode.The warrant was read to the boy by Chief tf Police O. D. Beck, at the office of Attorney Kintner. The boy accompanied the officer to Alderman Anthony's oflice, where a bail bond in the sum of ?S0o was signed by the boy's mother, Mrs. Mary Perry, and Milo Calasandro, for his appearance4at a lea ring to be held before Alderman Anthcnv on June 20.The target rifle with which the' shooting was done, is now In the pos* session of District Attorney II. T. Hall. After the shooting it was secured by James Nestlerode. father of the wounded man. and Wednesday evening Assistant Chief of Police James Litz went to Straut»iow:i and got the gun.
