James L« Hemplon Wakes Fourth Appeal to Be FreedFourth appeal fur aid of the probate court here to gain his freedom from the Northern hospital for insane at Oshkosh is made by James L, Hampton, of this city, in a registered letter which he forwarded Judge Chloupek Thursday. Hampton employes the registry mail because, he a Ays three previous letters have been unanswered and he wants to be sure thht thig reached its destination. Hempton says that he has porf uuued the work of an attendant ut the asylum for live years and complains of the treatment he receives. Lie wants to be free in order that he can earn money to go to California this fall and promises Judge Chloupek that if he will aid him, he will never regret it. Hempton was committed to the asylum by the Brown county circuit court when a jury held him insane when ho killed his wife. It is not probable that his appeal will be heeded.
