Woman CutIn QuarrelMrs. Ellen Pringle, 53. 855 EastWashington street, Benton township, was recovering In Mercy hospital today while Berrien sheriff's officers quizzed her common-law husband Roosevelt, 43, for details ona i tabbing.Mrs Pringle was admitted to Mercy with a wound in the back late last night. Aides believed it was caused by an Ice pick or similar instrument,Pringle was booked for investigation of felonious assault and intoxication . Deputies Arthur Johnson and Bob Oaks said Pringle denied any assault on hi* wife.Deputies Johnson and Oaks said the couple were exchanging words before the stabbing at the home of Pringle’s sister at 962 Highland avenue.Mrs. Pringle, Deputies Johnson and Oak* said, was unable to be questioned.
