Dayton Criminal Notes.Special to the Commercial Gazette. ^Dayton, O., June 10.—Prisoners were sentenced this morning by Judge Elliott as follows: Andrew Batts, charged with stabbing with intent to kill, was, in consideration of his age (being seventy-three), and previous good character, lt;fcc.. sentenced generally underact of March 24, 1884. Frank Strickmey-er, who pleaded guilty to burglary, received eighteen months. Edward F. Lear, convicted of burglary and larceny, was also sentenced generally, in con*idera-tion of youth and weakness of intellect. Frank Bow-ersox, who pleaded guilty to charge of grand larceny, was sentenced to eighteen months. Wm. Turner, who pleaded guilty to charge of burglary, received three and a haif years. Louis Shingledeeker, forgery, received eighteen months. George Paige, grand larceny, threoyears. Jno. Statts, horse stealing, four years. Geo* Blvel, sentenced generally, on account of previous good character.
