At night when the men reached home the trouble wasrenewed, whereupon Red Tommie, abrother of William Tommie, knocked Mr. Wills down, who jumped up and shot at Red, the bullet plowing its way through his hair. Wills then shot at William Tommie, striking him in a vital point. After being shot Tommie ran into the house and secured a gun, and coming out fired at Wills and missed him. Tommie fell to the ground and expired without saying a word. Wills escaped to the woods andis still at large. Mr. Wills had re-turned home only a short while ago from the asylum. *
