There were reports that could not be confirmed, to the effect that the car had been halted by federal agents and that its occupants were being held secretly.Search here for Elliot Michener, one of five men wanted in connection with the kidnaping, was declared to have been fruitless, although he was reported as having been seen here last Tuesday night.
