FCI honors first retireeThe staff at the Federal Correctional Institution reached a milestone of sorts recently when the first retiree was honored at the Cumberland facility. Al Brooks, right, camp program coordinator, retired after 22 years of service to the Bureau of Prisons. Brooks had a total of 25 years of government service altogether, including two years with the District of Columbia Department of Corrections and one year with the U.S. Secret Service. Dennis R. Bidwell warden of FCI Cumberland, presents a plaque to Brooks at the retirement ceremony.
