JOAN COOK, seriously injured when struck by a dumptruck May 18 on Highway 99, underwent internal surgery at Providence Hospital in Everett a week ago. Her father, John Cook, reported she is improving. Mr. Cook's mother, Mrs. Corrine Cook, is here fromPuyallup.
