Climbed Through Window -to Take Charge of Home That Has Been ClosedEmploys * n*t\o Firm of Lawyoro to Carry Hor Case Into Court. The widow of the late David Crosby, who arrived here on Saturday on the same train with her late husband’s body, was advised by Major Huffaker, attorney for the Crosby Company, to ; take rooms at the hotel as the late residence of deceased was locked and . •bilk'd until such time as the estate passed through the probate process. This advice was unheeded by Mrs. Crosby, who gained access to the premises through a window opening on the balcony and is now holding the fort.Major Huffaker says that Crosby died Interstate for the simple reason that he had disposed of all his interest In the Crosby Company several years ago and was merely a figurehead. The property disposed of included all buildings and their contents belonging to the Crosby Company, even the furniture and bedding on the premises he occupied while living were Inventoried in the items disposed of. The business oE the company will be carried on without interruption by the present manager, Wesley Sexsmith, who holds a majority of the WO shares of stock and the balance is held by John Crosby, brother of deceased .Mrs. Crosby has retained a legal firm of Reno as counsel who instructed her to take possession of the late residence of her husband and not to relinquish it until the settlement of the estate. As the Crosby Company had an extensive trade it is surmised that the deceased's share of the profits was not Inconsiderable. As, the case now stands there is likely to be a lively legal contest before the affairs of the estate are finally adjudicated.ri.
