Alfred Lagrave, jobbing dry goods dealer, has absconded, leaving a large number of heavy creditors, including A. T. Stewart Co., H. B. Claflin Co., and Arnold, Constable Co. Lagrave obtaiued goods from the various firms on credit to the amount of a quarter of million dollars, sold them at auction at half pi ice and decamped. He is supposed to be in Europe.
