A CITIZEN OF NORTH MADISON.Shocking Murder.—The Richmond (Ky.) Chronicle, of Thursday lost, says:At the battalion muster at Mr. John Million’s im this county, on Thursday last, Isaac Agee was brutally murdered by Shadrach Barnes. It appears that a brother of Barnes’ was engaged in ta fightjyith some man, and that Agee was attempting to make peace, when Shadrach Barnes ran up, threat his arm around Agee’s neck and deliberately, held his'head back and cut his throat, from which he died in about half an hour. Barnes, after he had inflicted the wound upon Agee, and just before he expired, approached the spot where Agee was lying and asked if he was dead, and when informed thallie was not, drew out his knife and swore that hp. would finish him. Barnes then inflicting a very severe wound upon his brother, from which it is doubtful if he ever recovers, cut Mr. W. Cuzick across the back of the hand, and made a lick at Mr. W. Heathman, and cut his clothes and marked the skin acrns the abdomen, but did him no darfiage.,. It is not known that there existed any unkind feeling between Barpes and Agee before this difficulty, but we have been credibly informed that Agee stated the week before the muster came on, that he was afraid that Barnes would kill him. Some half hour before the- difficult curred, Barnes made ‘a threat that he would: brother, and . attempted to raise a diffici him. Barnes was tried before ;two justic day last, and sent to jail to await his trial before the Madison c ircuit court.
