Harris, editor of a weekly paper here, and ordered him to “chew up and eat a clipping from his paper in which he made remarks which Mrs. Peace considered derogatory to her character, was virtually acquitted oiI'charges preferred by Harris when j j tried before Justice of the Peace J. A. i 'Boyd. jfOn the charge of carrying concealed j weapons, a plea of guilty was entered jsand .Justice Boyd suspended sentence.}AOn the request that Mrs. Peace he put under a peace, bond. Justice Hoyd stated that in his opinion Harris was in no further danger unless he wrote another such article, and refused to restrain her in any way.When the charge of pointing a deadly weapon and threatening to kill was Tl^d. County Attorney T. Weber Wilson t that the case be postponed indefinitely, until counsel for thestate and counsel for the defense could [agree on a date for trial, and it was j so ordered. It is believed here that the case is ended.
