No one tried to get a hold of me, I.even had to call to find out where he was buried so I could send flowers,”And he said he hasn’t been told about the events surrounding his son’s death, allegedly at the hands of Gary Buck, the boyfriend of Gerdemann’s wife, Trenia.Buck and Trenia Gerdemann met while they worked at IBP inc. in Waterloo. They had lived together less than a month at 840 Central Ave. in Evansdale when Buck allegedly killed Darren Gerdemann because the boy had misbehaved.“Even if we do have hard feelings toward one another, we still should have been in contact,” Gerdemann said of his wife.See FATHER I page A2
