Man facingmurder charges arrested in Tenn.HUNTSVILLE, ALA. (UPI) — One of three persons wanted on charges stemming from the Oct. 28, 1974 slaying of Clyde and Lucie Johnson has been arrested at Nashville, Tenn., authorities said Monday.Nashville Police said James Edwin Desherlia, 34, of St. Louis was arrested May 26 on a robbery charge, and Huntsville Police said he faced murder charges in the Johnson slayings.The bodies of the Johnsons were found in a field near Huntsville. They had been bound, gagged and shot to death. Johnson was a used car dealer in Huntsville. Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of Leroy Simms, publisher of the Huntsville News.Desherlia’s brother, Thomas Edward Desherlia, was arrested last January at St. Augustine, Fla., on charges in the Johnson murders. Thomas Edward Desherlia was convicted of killing a Florida Police officer.Police also sought Richard Bernard Lindhorst, 32, on charges of participating in the Johnson murders.
