Burglars Steal $33 ina Tavern; Pass up $28John Valente. 11301 St. I.aw-rence A\(* reported to Kcnsing-ton police Tuesday that burglars had entered his place of business between the hours of 11! 40 and 7 a m His drink emporium is known as the I)eer Head tavern and is located at 611 E. 113th St.Valente said that he closed his place of business at 12 40 o'clock and that it was re-opened at 7. at which time a hole about 6 inches in diameter was discovered in the glass near the door lock. The money stolen was in bills and taken from the cash register. A sum of $28 m silver was passed up by the intruders.
