RING’S SCALP CUT.He and Some Friends From Cambridge Come to Boston to Celebrate.A party of young men from Cambridge, including James Ring. Daniel Lyucb anil John and Morris J. Douohoe. came to Boa* ton last night and met several convivial spirits at the West End.The men are said to have imbibed considerable liquid refreshments and oy 11 o’clock all of them were in a somewhat inebriated condition.A little after 11 the four men named gotinto a quarrel at the corner of Charles andLeverttt sts.. and Lynch is alleged to havestruck Ring over the head with a bottleand the Donohoe brothers are accused of having kicked Ring about the body.The police gathered in the quartet and took them to the statiou in the patrol wagon.Dr. Thompson found that King had sustained a severe scalp wound and a broken nose. Lvnch and the Donohoes were locked up on the charge of assault and bailery.and Ring was held as a witness against them.
