It has been suggested that this being the case, it would be a favorable time to dispose of the ease of the State vs. William H, Thompson, on a charge of embezzlement.We know nothing personally of the guilt or innocence of one W. II. Thompson. We do know he stands indicted for embezzling quite a large sum of monev. We know further that there are at least half a dozen parties in the penitentiary convicted of stealing who were indicted long, long after said Thompson was, and that while they were promptly tried, justly convicted and righteously sentenced, said Thompson goes untried.
