Laurel Woman Attacks Editor Harris W«ith Gun far Publication.Laurel.— Armed with a revolver and carrying a clipping from the Joqm County Times. Mrs. Harvey Peace eo tered the office of that publication and demanded that Elmer L. Harris eat bis words. Editor Harris refused to comply with the request, and grabbed the revolver by the barrel, placing hts finger under fhe trigger so the weapon could not be fired.The struggle lasted for several minutes, when C. H. Kirkland, a local attorney, happened to be paaaing the office and assisted in wresting the pi* tol from the enraged woman.Mrs. Peace took offense at an article in the Times detailing a raid.by officers on a hotel conducted by her hun-band, in which about 25 gallons of whisky was confiscated. She has been placed under a peace bond.Editor Harris is a brother of Post* master Edgar O. HarrlB and la - well known. Mrs. Peace is a trained nurse and enjoys the respect and esteem of the community.
