She said it was a rape.”Marvin Scott of Union Mills, Md.s who was visiting with family and Mends here, found Malinda Stull of Gettysburg, when he entered .The Great T-Shirt Company at 56 Steinwehr Ave., around 5:30 p.m. to buy some shirts.He said he had entered the store andheard someone calling for help.“She was asking Is anyone out there?’ ” Scott said. “She said it twice. I said we were customers. I asked her where she was. She said she was in the bathroom.”Stull was shot 10 or 15 minutes before Scott found her. She kept talking to Scott while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. Keremembered that there was notmuch blood.Stull was taken by a Gettysburg Fire Department ambulance directly to York Hospital. I told her not to move. She said she tried to fight him off and he shot her.” Jean Fletcher, who operates The Gentle Spirit, a gift shop next door, said that while she was walking through a breezeway between the two stores, she heard what sounded like three pops. After she heard of the shooting, she realized they were shots. Fletcher said The Great T-Shirt Company is owned by Mr. and Mrs. Jon Mueller.Stull, 20, of 2108 Taneytown Road, is a 1991 Gettysburg High School graduate and is a sophomore at Asbury College in Kentuck-y. She is the daughter ofE.M. Stull. She was active in high school sports.The suspect was described as a white male, between 35 and 40-years-old, about five-foot seven to five-foot nine inches tall, of medium build. The interview with the witness begins with a general description of the sex, race, age, height, build, hair color, amount of hair, and hairstyle,_The details then become more specific, such as the type of glasses, sideburns, tattoos, birthmarks, eye shape, nose shape, etc. The process can take a few hours to complete.It is a process of elimination. When the witness is accurate and remembers details the resulting composite picture can be as good as an actual photograph.Anyone who has seen this man, or knows anything about the Steinwehr Avenue shooting incident is asked to contact police at 334-1168 or through Adams County Control- Ail calls will be kept confidential. Stull was in serious condition Friday night.Composites of suspects, like the one made by the state police identification unit, are composed of a combination of photographs of real facial features.
