Valuable Ring Reported LostThe loss of a ring valued at $1,150 and insured for $770 was reported to city police Thursday by an insurance company.The ring was the property of Sherry L. Demars, 242 Illinois St., who said she lost it July 24 when she took it off to lower the top on her convertible before driving to Chicago.The ring was described as ' massive” of 14 karat gold with five emeralds, six s a p-j phires, 13 diamonds and a cultured pearl. She said she removed the ring to avoid damage to the pearl while lowering the top of her car and that she ! missed it when she reached Fall Creek. 1
