Hold Man For Bank Robbery ConspiracySIOUX FALLS, July 30-^-Phillip Derr, of Alcester, S. D.. was under arrest here today, charged with conspiring to rob a national bank, and will be tried at the October term of federal court.Derr was arrested after his W'ifc, Mrs. Maronville Derr, 19, a bride of four months, fainted as police attempted to \ question her about the robbery of the Freeman, S. D., bank on May 27 last. Mrs. Derr is held on a charge of passing worthless checks.Chief of Police Lawrence Green, said Mrs. Derr told him her husband was to have driven the bandits’ car but renounced the job after his wife got into, trouble over worthless checks. He was held, however, on the conspiracy charge.Four men, arrested at Rapid City, are now serving life sentences in the state penitentiary for the robbery. The governments case against Derr, it was said, rested on reports he had received some of the money obtained in the holdup.
