—A man by the name of J. P. Lewis, a colored cook, at Hunter’s hotel, at Cedar Lake, was stabbed by John Harris, of Chicago, last Sunday. The wound is in the region of the heart, and is reported dangerous. The Inter Ocean says Harris was arrested and taken to the Lake police station Oil a charge of assault with intent to kill. It was a drunken row such as frequently occurs at that delightful retreat. Lake police station is in the imagination. Chicago roughs do the policeing there. The peaceable citi zeos of Indiana living near the lake will give them a taste of Hoosier law some of these days.
