owe rslaiienged by AttorneyAUSTIN (AP) - Famed Tex-as defense counsel Percy Foreman battled Florida’s request for extradition of Melvin banc Powers in a hearing Tuesday before Secretary of State Crawford Marlin.Powers, 27, is charged wilh murder in Miami in the June 30 stabbing death of 69lt;ycar-old Houston millionaire Jacques Mossier, Powers' uncle by marriage.Mossler's body, bearing 39 stab wounds, was found In his Key Biscayne, Fla., apartment by Ins widow and four of the I Mossier children. Powers wasarrested four days later in Houston, where he is held without hond.The secretary of state is Gov.
