Va. lt;J* - Au-, thorities are investigating an ex-1 plosion here Sunday which rocked two buildings owned by Ohio Pinball machine operator Charles Maroon.Strasburg ChurchBuys Edifice SiteSpecial To The ReporterSTRASBURG-The First Lutheran Church here yesterday voted to purchase the Fernsell property between 7th and 9th Sts. SW as site for a new church, the Rev. Russell Stewart announced.The congregation’s church was destroyed by fire and it has been meeting in the Clyde Wallick build-InnWindows were shattered and other damage done when a bomb exploded near the elevator door on the third floor of the Pythian Building, which covers about three-fourths of a city block here.Almost at the same time, a bomb severely battered the Downs Grill near Wheeling Downs Race Track on nearby Wheeling Island. There were no injuries in either blast.Exactly three weeks earlier, Maroon found a bundle containing ] 12 sticks of dynamite on the doorstep of his auto agency showroom in Bridgeport. Ohio. There was no explosion then.Police Chief William Thomas | taid Maroon, who also has other business interests, offered no in-! formation w’hich would implicate a suspect in the bombings.
