Daughter Accusedrof Embezzlement ! Freed on BondIBENTON. ILL., July 29 (UP)—Mrs. Elizabeth Scott Whaley,daughter ot Eugene Scott of West jFrankfort, was free today on $5000 I bond on charges of embezzlement. I Scott was accused of embezzling $49,070 from local 702 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (AFL), for which he formerly was secretary-treasurer. Mrs.Whaley was his bookkeeper.She was named in a warrant filed by Franklin Founty State's Attorney Leonard Dunn and appeared before Justice of the Peace John W. Bell. Her hubsand is W. E. Whaley, manager of a theater in Kansas City. Mo.Scott was released last week in $10,000 boptl.
