Anyhow, there was nothing small nor under the cover about the pilgrimage we had in mind. Our idea is out of the question now, but westlll believe-if carried out in the right manner, a great body of citizens coming from all sections of North Arkansas, farmers, business men, professional men, asking the strikers to forget their own Interests for a time and consider the good of the people as a whole, that they might have been prevailed upon to listen to reason.We believe that every man has a right to work for whom he pleases and for wages agreeable to both parties. It is alright for men to organize and bargain collectively. But it is against the principles of free government for them to force their services upon any industry. Why, can’t they be good sports and play the game clean. We all have contempt for the man who takes unfair advantage in a game; and life is a game. Germany is an example of what came of a government which undertook to set up a world autocracy. The unions are using the same rotter spirit in endeavor ing to control the industrial world and from that the political world. And in our humble opinion they are going to make a grand fiasco of thejob.
