Habeas Corpus Hearing AskedBrowafield Attorney To Seek Lower Bondi For Two Mentla Seagram Bank Robbery On Lait May 27■Mi ♦Habeas corpus proceedings m an effort to reduce $15,000 bonds set for O M Herring and Elmer Slaughter, charged with bank robbery in connection with the $3,200 robberyof the Seagraves State bank May 27, will be instituted by R. L Oraves, Browafield attorney, he said here Wednesday.• My clients can make $7,500 bond but the amounts set by Judge Gordon B. McGuire are excessive,' Graves, who came here with Geo Neal, another Browniield attorney Homer Slaughter, brother of Elmer Slaughter, and Frank Cox, said.Judge McGuire is spending his vacation near Taos, N. M., and an-plication for the hearing was pic* seated Wednesday to Judge Clark M Mulllean of 09th district court The Lubbock judge declined to conduct the hearing, and Graves will attempt to reach Judge McGuire Edmond Meredith and Ja. W Baker, the latter a former Sea-graves school teacher, have mud? bonds of $10,000 and $15,000. respectively.
