merly lived here, aftd at Dugger,Shelburnand other places in the county, and who died about Hymera or Alum Cave two or three years ago. The old doctor will be remembered as a very eccentric individual who had patented a very peculiar wagon while living here, one which put the horse in the midst of the wagon and in the shade of the cover and had seats arranged around him. It attracted a good deal of attention at the time, chiefly as a curiosity.Young Hiatt had been 'Sn the reform school and was sent from here to the penitentiary for two years about 1902 for stealing a watch overat Lyonton. He was a brother of♦Frank Hiatt, who was sent up from here, where the case had been venued,for a postoffice robbery at Coal City. He was also a stp-brother-in-law of Lon Shaw, who killed A1 Isbell in ]iself defense abot a year ago. !
