Corporal James Rankin, of the Second Michigan regiment, charged with stealing one hundred and fifty dollars, while engaged in searching the premises of one Bull Frizzell, an avowed rebel, who is held as a prisoner at present by the Second Michigan regiment, was convicted at Washington, on the 15th inst., and sentenced to the penitentiary for three years.
